The most wonderful and endearing studio visit I’ve had in a long time, the warmest pinks, as warm as her soul and the deepest eyes starting at you guiding you back into your own soul. I had the pleasure of meeting Emma at the New York Academy of Art (“NYAA”) in May 2022 on their open studio night and was truly astounded by her bold color and choice to make it the sole foundation of her figurative imagery. After recently graduating from NYAA she has found a clean cozy space where she is continuing to explore different techniques and her self expression on canvas.
Born and raised in Indiana by her feminine and strong mother, Emma comes from a beautiful family of all women. “Pink has always been a girly color for me” she explained as she narrated these amazing scenes where her mother would spontaneously decide to incorporate pink into their lifestyle. Speaking about how close and supportive her family is to her it was easy to identify a tender heart in a person that has passion which combined results in her artwork having a life of their own.
Recently she has been exploring with pastels which provides her a quick alternative and low risk way of expressing her ideas before transferring them onto canvas. I was astounded when she mentioned these amazing new pastel works on only take her an hour to complete! Talk about talent?!
Unique, Feminine, Bold and Pink are the key components to her imagery. She is currently expanding her collectors within the international market and I’d strongly advise you to check her out!
